I don't think workout is the solution to the problem here, the problem is either an absence of things that release pleasure hormones in the body, or an addiction to them that has to be fed in any possible way.
If the problem is the former, then, it could be worth trying to find something you like, like spending more time with a friend, finding a sport you like to do.... Or, I mean, even finding a great video game would do the trick.
By the way, games could be an ersatz solution if the problem is the latter option. If you stop eating frantically altogether, you'll experience endorphin withdrawal. Games or sports could be the "transition product" that you'd consume to feed your need for endorphine, and gradually reduce back to normal levels over time.
