I feel like these fears and feelings have started to resurface. It also doesn't help that I have severe agoraphobia and am quite limited in getting the help I need. I often wonder what the frequency of these kind of feelings is?

I feel slightly better by your reassurances. Still a long way to go obviously, but I am really grateful to have people reassure me!

Do psychiatrists or counselors deal with cases such as this often? Would they understand what I was talking about if I explained my situation to them?

I also happen to be an avid chess player. I play for fun and not professionally. Is there any proven benefit from playing chess (other than having a good time)? Anyone else here play chess for relaxation?
