The Key to Productivity - Happiness

Postby hubertkoh » Sat Mar 19, 2016 12:19 pm

I have been doing some research on what makes people highly productive. What I was found out was this, the happier you are, the more productive you will be.

It might sound disconnected at first, but after further thought it actually makes some sense.

Passion = happiness = productivity.

Therefore, do what you love and you will never 'work' another day!

Love this post! And I couldn't agree more, the more I focus on happiness as my number one goal, the easier my life gets.

In this journey to pursue happiness I am being reminded regularly that if it truly feels good and makes you happy then its the right thing to do. If it feels bad or makes you feel small or constricted then its telling you to stop and re assess and change direction. Not always an easy concept when you come from a background that values hard work and believes if you work hard you will get by. BUT with the perseverance and at times stubbornness to prove that life can be good and easy, I am slowly getting there.

here's to happiness!

Happiness is all nice and sweet, but many people have no idea what makes them happy. I personally find it much more convincing and realistic to say that the key to productivity is personal motivation. If you are a highly motivated individual, you will do the work you need to do to accomplish whatever you want, regardless of whether you are happy or not at the moment. You can be very productive and not necessarily happy. And you can be very happy, but utterly unproductive and useless. I bet each and everyone of you here has seen examples of both. In fact, let's not forget that many successful people have become super stars because at some point in their lives they were so unhappy and desperate that they got exceptionally motivated to change things around and so they learned how to be very productive indeed :)

You're right. And you can start slowly right now from scratch no matter what challenges you may be facing. Discover new meaning today and follow through.

It also works the other way around. If you are not very happy but decide to be productive anyway and do what you got to do, you will feel better afterwards.

The most important thing is to find meaning in life, to have a goal.
