how can anybody ever be happy in a place like this? Please let me know what you think. You can decide to be happy and then figure out "What's Next?!" that might help you make it happen. Explore. Experiment. Dare to figure out what matters to you -- and to pick one thing to work on making ...

Re: being an intern

My faculty supervisor is not exactly cold but it is very confusing to try and understand all his demands. Your life experiences are likely different from your faculty supervisor! Culture, age, role, life experiences... these all can make it confusing to interact with someone. In your online program...

Re: Would being tipsy/drunk take pain away?

Terry94 wrote:I'm in constant pain

Medical doctors who specialize in pain sometimes have insights that generalists don't.

Maybe going to a pain clinic would help?

Another option is alternative care.

For example, if you've confirmed nothing's broken, accupuncture has been demonstrated to reduce pain.

Re: Negative Self-Confidence spiral

The case is that I feel I my self-confidence is decreasing. How about exploring other areas of your life for a while? Partly to start climbing up, partly to get joy and peace into your life, and partly to get you out of today's situation. For example, maybe take a break from seeking any dates, and ...

Re: Lost young adult - my story & seeking guidance

I I'm also constantly late to things, and a job demands punctuality, so that's another thing to worry about. Right now, I'm just suffering a long period of apathy, carrying out my life like a 'normal person' at the front while not really feeling 'alive'. I only have doubts and no hope. What Richard...

Pay attention to what you want and let that guide you to exploring what you may be inspired to start doing right now.

Experiment!

Re: Afraid of advertising myself. I'd laugh if it wasn't so

It takes effort over time to gain any skill. Getting the word out for your group lessons is a skill. Ask for help from the language school! Who knows, maybe you can learn this skill from the people there with their guidance and introductions along the way.

Re: Overwhelmed by my dull stupid facial expressions. no way

You're welcome. Keep trying. You'll get there! Smiling at yourself in the mirror is enough for the rough days. Trust yourself to practice more on the days you can handle more.

Re: recurrant nightmares in adopted child

I no longer saw something to be afraid of. Looking into her eyes, I saw only her pain and fear. Not a monster for ME to fear. Does anyone know if my suspicion has merit? Could be simply a fear that was deep seated and when you were in the ER you connected with a person in a way that helped you past...

Re: A new work based self help channel

If you want to grow your YouTube channel, here is a small bit of advice. -1- Don't SPAM -2- Don't try to generate money on videos on day 1. Initially, share your content for free, really for free and then after some time you will see some videos are high performers with 100K views and others are no...

Re: The Key to Productivity - Happiness

I have been doing some research on what makes people highly productive. What I was found out was this, the happier you are, the more productive you will be. It might sound disconnected at first, but after further thought it actually makes some sense. Passion = happiness = productivity. Therefore, d...
