The way to distinguish depression from grief
In grief, painful feelings come in waves, often mixed with positive memories of the dead.
In a state of depression, the mood or interest (pleasure) decreases for more than two weeks.
In grief, self-esteem is usually maintained. Feelings of worthlessness and selfishness are common in major depression.
For some people, the death of a loved one can cause great depression. Losing a job or becoming a victim of a physical attack or a major disaster can lead to depression for some people.
When there is grief and depression, grief is more intense and longer than grief without depression.
Despite some overlap between sadness and depression, they are different.
Distinguishing between them can help people, help or cure them.
