22 months PAWS update

Postby Eroica » Tue Mar 09, 2021 6:35 am

Im still in PAWS 22 months after stopping pot. A week ago i had another episode of nightsweats after months of being free from them. Adding to the problem is that Im visiting Massachusetts where its legal and you can smell pot everywhere and dispensaries are minutes away. Its extremeley triggering. I also still have ED occassionally and some mental symptoms.

Dont get me wrong though, ive improved massively but still not totally recovered. Just wondering if i can expect a turning point in a few months when i hit two years. This cant go on forever, right?

I’m approaching 8 months and ED was completely gone for a while but it has returned slightly the past week or so? Would you say yours has improved from this time?

I’m 32 months in and still suffering. I will wait another 4 months.
Few nights ago I had a dream that I smoke again...my main problem is the ringing in ear, OCD and depression.

My ED has improved a lot since 8 months into my quit. You will continue to have periods where it will be worse and then better. At least in my case.

Im at 25 months now. The ED for me was severe for 1.5 yrs; then slowly got better/worse in a cycle since then. Overall its trending to get better. But it does go in cycles; where I feel normal for a few days then back to low libido for a few weeks.

Its strange that in the past couple months, Ive started to feel symptoms I havent felt in months; albiet much milder than when I was going through them months ago. Seem to get episodes of Scary/vivid dreams, head pressure, swolen lymph nodes, and ED/Low Libido, and insomnia. But they are all 1000x better than before; and on many days I dont feel all of them.

The most persistent ones are low libido/ED and swolen lymph nodes now. But as I said, they are better than before too.

I saw a few people on this forum say there symptoms went away around the 30 month mark. So you can probably expect more of a turn around. When I’m not stressed my sex drive returns abnormally high. Like 5 to 6 times a day I’m having sex. But I have to be comfortable. If I get stressed about work or something it goes away. Tends to get better each cycle.

Hey eroica. Would you mind me asking if your sex drive has ever been completely normal during this time?
