The most important person ever

You asked me for evidence and there you have it. What better evidence of the replicability of my thesis than yourself? A psychologist talking with a socially disabled person who freaks out...!

Can you be humble? The real situation is that if I had gotten the recognition I deserve you wouldn't be able to contact me no matter what. Yet, you've been acting like an arrogant wise man since the very beginning in front of a man who asked for an insignificant help and told you more than once that is thinking about commiting suicide.

There couldn't be a person in which this kind of behavior were more evident than you. Your duty as a professional is to cope up with people's disabilities. Your commitment, as a professional of psychology, should be that of a man deeply interested in finding out the truth.

So far you haven't questioned one single thing of my theory. You haven't said anything of what I am arguying is wrong, and let's face it. We are discussing human nature, human behavior, which happen to be your allegued speciality.

I told my wife you freaked out and asked her if she thinks there is any way to turn the game and help you change your ridiculous possition. She told me "not a chance". Well, I still think there is 1% chance because I COULD change my mind if I were faced with reasons. Why can't you? Why do you have to stick to your inquisitor role? Are you that simple minded? Don't you know that if I get my work published this conversation would destroy whatever reputation you may have? It is utterly ridiculous!

Yes, we are dumb machines. Yes, humans mostly work at the service of the emotor, but it doesn't have to be that way. You don't like how I talk? bs. You don't like WHAT I SAY and what it IMPLIES to your self image.

How can you overcome your circunstances? You just need to take a break and evaluate my REASONS, regardless of your feelings. If you don't do this, you're no different than a drug addict or a lab rat conditioned by punishment and reward. Your studies mean NOTHING if you cannot achieve this simple task.

Prove to be a better man. You have the chance to become a protagonist of history. You just need to THINK. Can you f***ing do that, or you're just an easy-way-out simpleton?

You have been publicly discredited and left in ridicule as a human being and as a professional. You can undo this by stopping the pissing contest.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Say "I'm listening".
2. Trully listen.

Easy, right?

Nope. I'm not a clinical psychologist. But, thanks for your opinion of what my duty is.

Don't you know that if I get my work published this conversation would destroy whatever reputation you may have? It is utterly ridiculous!

I will take my chances.

No worries, I will live.

Regardless it is the easy way and you know it.

Are you familiar with the notion of "lying to oneself"...? Right now you are creating excuses and making your very best to embrace a view on this situation that beneficts you. One just need to see the pieces you quoted and check those you did not.

Augusto wrote:3.4a Pillar of interest: This refers to the valuation of representations as to its potential usefulness to guide the work of the emotor, so whatever proves to be useful may be considered of interest.

Richard@DecisionSkills wrote:Well to be fair, my schedule transforming the world and the future of all mankind via my work keeps me extremely busy. I am confident that my works truly make me the most important person ever, but I don't really care if this is recognized prior to my death. My focus is on service to others, not personal recognition. It simply is the reality that for my works to transform the world the most efficient vehicle is personal branding.

Augusto wrote:3.4b Pillar of beauty: The conception of beauty and ugliness is the result of deep linkages between beneficial and prejudicial, from which it follows that what best suits our subconscious patterns of usefulness will be considered beautiful or pleasant. This includes evaluating and using behaviors idealized by society, taking into account our needs and circumstances, first, and then the implications and external circumstances.

You don't say? Given your charming approach I would have never guessed things don't seem to work out very well for you.

Anyway, thanks for offering up such an amazing opportunity, but I have decided that I have better things to do with my time. Best of luck to you.

Augusto wrote:3.4c Pillar of justice: Allows an appreciation of psychic reality aimed at protecting the self-image, while any event that is considered (potentially) damaging to it, easily can be labeled as unfair.

Augusto wrote:Influence of daiia in the self-image:
1. Regarding the sphere of strength: The pillar of interest will favor those lines of thought that bring greater benefits, real or supposed, to the sphere of strength; so that, for example, for an expert chess player, it will be nice to share with people, read articles and attend to events akin to the topic, given that chess is an area in the sphere of strength where the individual feels able. However, the same individual may express disinterest in attending to parties should not know how to dance, because by showing a lack of skill in that particular area could be harmful to their self-esteem.
Thanks to the pillar of interest we will be also inclined to evaluate different areas of the self-image of other individuals according to their affinity to ours, finding pleasant those individuals that best conform to our interests. We will, therefore, be prone to identify with others and to judge them based on the similarities and differences regarding their area of strength and ours, which means that our capacity for empathy will obey our personal circumstances, firstly, and then to people or situations of interest.
Finally, the pillar of justice will defend us of many negative circumstances, also leaving a stigma against the causative, as often happens when a student, after failing a test for not being properly prepared, end up blaming the teacher.
2. With regard to the sphere of character: we endeavor to promote the positive assessment of our sphere of character through social competence, which translates into an interest in being perceived as morally upright individuals, preferring social circles that better suit us; this is, those in which our faults or defects are considered acceptable by the majority, or at least common.

Influence of daiia on the environment:
Daiia seeks to influence the assessment of the self-image through the environmental modules:
1. Regarding the module of constitution: The daiia not only will be responsible for establishing a self-image as a focal point and reference for the environment but also will expand the size of any object of the internal reality taking into account, in addition to its spatial position, their affinity with the self-image, which will decisively contribute to emotional learning and to the organization of stored material. Also, the daiia will be able to accept false laws as constituting truths of the external reality, as long as they pose a benefit to the levels of self-image. We have, among many examples, the soul, life after death, freedom, luck, and so on.
2. With regard to the module of property: The daiia will identify certain objects, environments or situations outside the perceptible reality as beneficial or harmful, trying to link the pleasant to the self-image and rejecting the unpleasant.
3. As for the legitimacy module: The individual, through daiia, will be able to blur the line that separates truth from falsehood in favor of the self-image, for which the pillar of justice may prove to be useful.

Tell me, can you see how my work predicts your behavior like that of a conditioned lab rat? Isn't this real time evidence that you are actually imprisoned by your human condition?

It is not you who rejects me. It is the emotor, which happens to be a sobconscious systematization. Your conscious acted like a slave at the service of the emotor to avoid punishment.

Real story...

And how is your freedom from the human condition working out for you? Depressed, angry, unhappy, socially struggling, etc. Sounds fabulous.

Nobody can be free, Richard. Freedom is a delusion created by daiia to make us feel good. There is only conditioning. Of course, you can use the conscious level to wisely choose your options in order to sort of direct your current conditioning and be happier by means of becomming a better person one way or the other.

A few posts ago I told you this thesis is something like a tool, that if you understand it, it could enrich your perception of reality. It can rise your awareness and ultimately transform you into someone better.

I am a better person. I am very self aware and I keep my eyes on my emotor. Whenever I see emotions in action I try to understand why (I haven't post the emotional system, properly speaking), then I shut down my emotions and make logical choices, so I am working in improving my life in the best possible way.

However, real life situations cannot be denied. You cannot be buddha while people is screaming at you or punching you in the face. As the machines we are, we cannot escape from reality and we depend on our self image. It is kind of hard to explain you the whole thing in a few lines... let me instead give you a good advice:

The worst thing anyone can do is live an emotional life. The emotor is part of the most primitive system in the brain. When you listen to your emotions you are trusting your life to the subconscious. It is like throwing yourself to a river and let it drag you. That path leads to divorce, for example. Nobody wants to get divorced, but the primitive emotor pushes us in ridiculous directions and causes us to betray ourselves.

There is something else you should know. I will be on this community only for about a week. You won't see me here much longer. It has nothing to do with you, it's because of external reasons.

It is up to you if you want to keep talking to me during this time or not. Again, if you objectively evaluate our discussion so far, you may end up discovering that a different approach to me would be more beneficial.

I am not unhappy, by the way. I have an awesome wife and a wonderful son. You wouldn't believe how much they love me and how good our relationship is. My problem is just that I want to publish my work and collect my cash. It is like, you know, like if someone have some money that is mine, and personal recognition wouldn't be bad either, and it's mine, so I want it. Not having it is something I am working on, trusting I will eventually have it.

But look, I am pretty hard to figure out, specially due to my social impairments. I would recommend you to avoid focusing in me. Maybe if we met in person and we had the chance to talk during a few days you would get a better idea, but right now you assigned a voice tone to my posts and builded an image of me that it's pretty hard to change. The best thing to do, my advice, is that you label it as "unreliable" and focus in the conversation, if you still want to talk.

In case you didn't notice, right now I just explained the nature and dynamic of human morality. It is right there in the previous post, and just like that I can explain the functioning of language and several other things. Basically anything human related. Isn't that something more interesting than trying to figure out a weird dude?

More? About what?

Mmm... like, about how to deal with butthurt? Take a deep breath, then accept I owned you and revisit your position. Your rightful place is that of a student and mine is that of a master. That's a lesson you still fail to get and I'm gonna give you a C- if you don't learn your place.

Really, who do you think you are, "dude"...? LOLOLOLOL

LOL = Laughing out loud.

Man, I'm bored. See if you have something more interesting to say later. I'm not going to waste my time here, at least not like that.

There is a nice thread in the Psychology zone called "I hit my 3 years old son and I think it is okay" created by me. So far it is pretty interesting. You're welcome there.

I glanced at it earlier. Just added to my overall understanding of how well your philosophy in life is working out for you.

You're welcome there.

Of course I am. It is a public forum, everyone is welcome, but thanks anyway.

DUDE...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're making me feel like you're totally dumb and I (still) refuse to believe that. So, let me give you a few advices:

1. Stop acting confrontational. I understand you may feel obligued to do so, specially if you forget I have a social condition. Let me be more clear: I am not mad at you. I just happen to express my ideas in certain way and whatever. We are cool and there is no need to act like if we were in high school. Drama may be fun for a little while but right now I'm bored. This means I don't want to waste time on macho contests with you.

2. Stop trying to figure me out. Right now you're just trying to force a certain idea of me, like "he's evil and angry" and it looks totally butthurt. **** man, you're an old dude. Put yourself together and drop it. It looks like part of you think I'm an a**hole and part of you think I'm Jesus on his second comming (lol), so you're desperate to learn more from me, like secretly in love with me. Okay, this is hilarious. Stop acting like that, seriously.

3. Since you're obviously bored, and since you seem interested in talking to me, think about it and come straight and say so. Let's say... since I'm a weird person, like Nietszche's ubberman, I can offer you my weird friendship. We can be in touch on facebook if you want... also, I still want your help but it's not a requisite, so think about and do as you please... but, please, with dignity and without looking like an idiot. That's one think I really don't like... but I do like Star Wars and nude pictures...! :P

Was I clear? We're cool, do as you please, you have my permission young padawan, but beware of the dark side.

May the force be wth you.

Thanks so much for taking the time to give me some of your wonderful advice. I can see how well your advice works in your life, so thanks for sharing. I consider it a gift. If you have any more advice to help me achieve your level of diia, social dysfunction, depression, frustration, anger, etc. please let me know.

Maybe one day you can even become a mentor for me, because obviously your philosophy on life is really healthy.

Dude, you're totally wrong, okay?

I can see where you're going with this. It has escalated from some noise to the level of a master plan in the last few minutes in your head and you're screaming it between the lines. Yeap, you're that simple.

You're confused by my theory and how I mapped your behavior, so you choice the ad hominem fallacy route, conflating my theory with the little you know about me, as if I was some sort of self help guru or whatever.

1. I am not a self help guru.
2. You don't have all the facts.
3. Your conclusions about me are wrong.
4. Even if they were not, your "strategy" to dismiss my thesis speaks very poor of your intellect.
5. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....
