My quest is not a T-break, I am currently on my third attempt for freedom after a 35 year habit, now at day 77. My mantra this time around is “I am free from cannabis, and I am going to remain free, free from cannabis, for the rest of my life.” As I reap the benefits of my freedom, once again I am really noticing benefits such as: Confidence, I’m no longer hiding in my shell. Creativity, I’m drawing again, something I haven’t done in years, and I am keeping a journal now. More money, I no longer waste my cash on expensive paraphernalia and gov’t taxed weed. Most of all, I can think more clearly and feel much healthier.
This has not been an easy journey for me, but I now know that I can’t be an occasional user. The “once in a while” mindset does not work for me and I know one toke will lead me back down into the rabbit hole of dependency. Even the thought of “maybe one day in the future” isn’t an option, l know it’s all or nothing and I want it all, all of the benefits, not the nothingness of cannabis addiction.
