That’s what was happening to me in the beginning of all of this last November.
It was terrifying!

Quote from John: I too get that exact fluttering feeling in the middle of my chest. Its like the heart jumps out of rhythm. When it does that I feel like a sudden cold feeling in the chest, like when you get a jump scare. It used to trigger a panic attack but now I try my best to stay calm. I had an episode about a month ago that the fluttering lasted for around 30 seconds and I became pale and dizzy. I could feel the fluttering on my pulse. I ended up in the ER… again… And nothing showed up… again. So yeah, crazy PAWS stuff man.[/quote]

Thank you for telling me that, john, it really calms me to hear your experience. It helps to know that I’m not alone. Thank you.

@MMJnomo

Sure man. I can also relate to the massive fatigue and weakness. Thank God its been gone for some weeks now. I felt anemic, I could barely walk without feeling like passing out, but some blood lab tests showed nothing wrong. Its crazy how we can feel something so intense without anything showing up. I had to take some weeks off work last month because of it. Hope you keep feeling better man!

Stick with it guys/gals. It gets better. Just takes time. Look at my "80 days clean of weed" thread for my story, but I had a completely miserable first year, and a terrible second year. At 2.5 years now I am mostly better. Only mild symptoms on occasion but most days I'm 100%.

I hope none of you take 2+ yrs to heal - but you will heal. Keep that in mind when you're having a bad day.

Thank you so much for this, Sparkle. I needed this today. I will definitely check out your thread you mentioned.

I used to experience abnormal heart activity which used to trigger full blown panic attacks. After multiple ECG's, an ultrasound and various other blood work, nothing was found. Heart palpitations and panic attacks are now a common symptom of PAWs and they do subside with time.

Thanks Tokes, I can’t imagine having this forever. I am on medicine to control them and i would like to eventually not have to take it. Now I have a whole other med I’m going to have to wean off of eventually.

Hi friends,

i would like to know how are the symptoms doing… any better? Still feeling PAWS?
After quitting 3 Weeks ago (respect, you allare great, beeing clean for months), I feel I am going to die! Feel very very depressed and anhedonia is my first name. I hope better days to come.
Any of you have taken supplements like 5htp, gaba oír St John’s wort ¿
I have made some research, but no conclusive using or dosage.
Would be happy to hear from you and learn any tipps given to recover from brain disbalance

Sorry if my English sounds some strange, it’s not my mother tongue

Thank you for asking- I am doing better. I am 8 1/2 months into marijuana PAWS and 22 months into alcohol PAWS now. Brain fog, depression, anhedonia, dizziness, anxiety, extreme fatigue, and physical symptoms such as trembling and muscle twitching have improved for the most part. I can still get hit with panic attacks- had a massive anxiety/panic attack that lasted three days a few days ago. I still get little waves of the symptoms, but they are significantly better now, in general. I hope anyone who is struggling and reads this is encouraged. I cannot tell you how desperate I was for encouragement when I was at my worst. I also truly felt like I was dying, just like you said. Be encouraged- you will heal. It takes time and patience. I wish you well.
