Urgent help please

Today, for the first time I viewed about 4-5 hypnosis videos. All were erotic hypnosis videos to make you orgasm without hands. It did not work. I felt incredibly relaxed because of not thinking about anything else but what the videos were suggesting. I remember the lady in the video telling me she has control over me now and that I belong to her and all those freaky things. At first I didn't care at all but now that I'm finished I feel incredibly scared that I invited some demonic powers into my life or that I can now get possessed to do harmful things because I watched the hypnosis videos. Especially since the lady was saying that she controls me from now. And also, the videos were on YouTube. They were half an hour length videos, I slept away a few times during the videos. Also, I stared into the picture on screen which was like a typical swirling hypnotizing picture. All it did was make me focus on that and not think about my daily activities. I was not controlled completely by anything, I was just listening to the instructions. The videos don't seem professional and I am very scared that it may have invited evil into my life. I worry a lot for little things and this really gets me anxious. Please help.

If you believe in demons and the ability for a woman to control you via a YouTube video, then you should also believe that drinking a glass of water with lemon juice and hint of garlic will rid you of any issues.

I am sorry if I seem too anxious. I have OCD, so these things affect me more than it should. The lady on her Twitter, says how she loves to destroy men with her videos and stuff when I checked just now and it got me very scared. Are there anyway for a hypnosis or somebody trying to control me to work afterwards? Like a night or two after?

It depends on what you believe.

Like I said, if you believe some lady on Twitter can control you via YouTube, then you should equally believe that going to a church and dousing yourself with holy water will take away any power she has over you. Why would one be valid and the other not be valid?

Is it theoretically possible? Yes. Is is possible for you? No.

According to G.H. Estabrooks, one in five people is extremely susceptible to hypnosis. You are not one of those people, or those videos would have worked on you immediately.

That being said, what Richard is saying is that fear can hypnotize a person. It's called the nocebo effect, and it's basically the opposite of the placebo effect. To paraphrase Franklin D. Roosevelt, you have nothing to fear but fear itself.

Basically, don't worry about it, because you'll be just fine as long as you stop worrying about it.

Thanks for the replies. Yes I guess it's just me being worried. I found it hard to concentrate and follow in the videos also, the main thing the video did was making me calm.

I'm guessing the nocebo effect happens when people's anxiety gets the best of them during the hypnosis and they feel little pains. In my case, I felt no pain and didn't had a bad experience. It is just scary of the thought that the lady was saying she has control of me from now and stuff. It freaks me out. Any advice or facts to make me feel at peace?

The nocebo effect happens any time that somebody fears something enough to make it true. It's how curses work. The person is convinced that they're cursed, and their mind makes them sicken and die unless they can combat that belief in some way. I believe this is what Richard meant by holy water. If you believe that holy water has the power to remove the curse from you, it does. The holy water becomes the placebo needed to cure your nocebo.

Any way that you can stop worrying about this will help you. If there's some sort of ritual that will make you feel better, by all means do it. If there isn't, borrowing a ritual from someone else may help. You might, for example, try writing the name of the hypnotist on a sheet of paper, reciting three times "she has no power over me" and then burning the paper.

Thanks for your help. I don't think I was cursed. The video has thousands of views. I will stop worrying about this. I guess that applies to everything. Whatever we say becomes a reality, so if I am acting like everything is good it will be and if I act sick, I will be sick. I'll get over this. Don't think that the video can be so harming, because if it was then it couldn't be able to be on YouTube. I was not hypnotized but I was just following the instructions to try to feel the effects, other than that, I was aware of everything and I was able to like control and pause the video and what not.

Hope you feel better now, after some great advice from the others here. Be a bit more selective about what you choose to click on in future but remember that you are fully in control, you chose to watch that video and you can choose to discount it!

You could do a lot worse than writing down your remaining concerns and assume There's a Self-Hypnosis Tape for That. I like the hypnosisdownloads.com programs because they're straightforward, cards-on-the-table self-hypnosis.

You're clearly an excellent self-hypnotic subject, so if you stick to products from competent people in the hypnotherapy business, and avoid the recreational and BDSM stuff, at least for a while, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
