boost learning capability?

Postby EmperorDude2 » Sat May 10, 2014 11:18 pm

i've been noticing something recently that has been deeply disturbing me.
I am having a problem with remembering things that i learn, trouble remembering them in long terms (remembering things after a long time), because i am forgetting the things i learn in less than 4 hours (if i am able to absorb that information at all) and that never happened to me before.

Not only this is happening in college but also in music class (more intensely in music class), physical activities (remembering a sequence of physical exercises is getting harder and harder) and it is making me really frustrated.

Unlike my other posts, there isn't much info i can give to you guys other than the ones above :/

So what do you think? What should I do? What would you do?

As it is said “Practice Makes A Man Perfect”, hence you should do practice and practical for the things you learn. Else it will be difficult to remember each and every thing. After doing practices you can easily remember what you have learned and it will boost your working ability and performance.

We absorb information more easily when we are in a relaxed state. Our brain waves slow down to the Alpha State and then learning can take place more easily.

So, I reckon the key here is to relax and not get too anxious about not remembering things. Here are two tips for getting into a relaxed state.

1. Take some deep and slow breaths.
2. Focus on a point in front of you and then notice things in your peripheral vision. This will force your brain to slow down and be more receptive to learning. You may want to practice this at home a few times, before doing it in a class situation.

I suspect you are probably saying some negative things to yourself, such as "I have a bad memory" or "I can't remember things anymore". Turn those thoughts around to things like " I have a great memory" and "I easily remember things when I need to"

Hope these tips help.
