anxiety getting worse

I really want to go to istanbul it's like a fantasy to me. I'm missing my mother want to talk to relatives. I'm such an anxious person that I worry if they don't accept my resignation. I thought of writing a formal paper to management requesting to work in istanbul there is a little chance if I do that but I'm stuck can't do anything. Doing things I'm scared don't work I get scared to do them again.

Okay, do that. But include the information that your father is dying and your mother needs you there, ie. it isn't just a whim -- and you're going to go anyway. Right?

Right, desperate?

The irony is I was so afraid to go to istanbul and wanting to avoid that like hell a few years ago.

The only things that really helped me when my anxiety was real bad was cardio x2 a day for approx 30 mins, as it can desensitise your body to anxiety/stress hormones like adrenaline and cortisol, at least for a while. Magnesium and zinc supplements also seemed to calm me down sonewhat as well they have a reputation as sedative minerals. Cutting out stimulants as already suggested is a good call.

Remember, as you write your resignation letter, that this is about your mother needing you. Don't say anything bad about the tax office, because they've been good to you over the years.

Have a few weeks of R&R in Istanbul then go to the tax office there and tell them what work you've been doing. Let them know you're ready to start there when a vacancy comes up.

The most tedious job in the world is not so bad when you have friends to hang out with afterwards, and a lovely mother to go home to.

This giving up isn't permanent. It's just what you need to do right now.
