Dissociation or derealization weed paws

Postby SexyJessica » Tue Jan 11, 2022 1:28 pm

It’s been 6 months since I quit weed I was daily smoker for 3 year, I used carts and weed, for the first 3 months it was really terrible for me I had constant anxiety / anxiousness / dissociation/ head pressure / fatigue / and now my only symptom is dissociation 24/7 since the day I quit and anxiousness. Sometimes when I’m chilling in bed and I go get up to do something my heart starts beating for no reason and sometimes I feel tingling in my legs but I’m not worried about that I just want the high feeling to go away it makes me so confused and scary, and sometimes when I’m more anxious it gets worse, but is it possible to experience anxiety and dissociation till now it’s been 6 month, I never had any problems before with my mental health, I don’t know what happened to me when I tried quitting weed the first 5 days I tried to quit I went back to it because I was feeling really weird I couldn’t sleep getting confused and so much more and then when I went back to it, it didn’t feel good smoking anymore so after month again I quit again and got way worse. Now here I am 6 month sober But I just want the dissociation or the high feeling to go away I feel like is never gnna go away how is it possible to have dissociation or high feeling 24/7 since the day I quit till now!!

Hi Jessica,

From what I’ve read thus far, there seems to be a fairly strong connection between long term use and a reduction in orbital frontal cortex gray matter as well as structural alterations to the brain.

You may want to look into cannabis use disorder (CUD) and explore various ways it is being managed and/or treated.

The below link is a long technical read about CUD published early 2021.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8655458/

And this link is to several ways CUD is being addressed…
