Ever Been On A Healing Diet? Looking To Inspire

Postby angelal » Wed Jun 28, 2017 7:23 pm

This could be anything. Vegan, clean-eating, including more fruits and veg. Has anyone ever done anything like this? If so, what were the benefits.

Yeah, i was prediabetic a few years back. Dr. John McDougalls lectures got me interested in a High-Carb Low Fat Starch Based Vegan diet. I did over 1,200 hours of research on the subject. I literally changed everything in one night, stopped all animal products, caffeine, cacao, and chocolate. It reversed my prediabetic state in two weeks, and turned me into a 2:49 marathoner and 347watt/hr cyclist in two years.

Wait till you hear some of the stuff about water fasting. I still think its relatively too dangerous to personally mess with(not sure i could make it after my ana) but im glad others do, becuase its absolutely fascinating. Completely removes scar tissue for example.

I did a four-week water-only fast about 40 years ago. It was amazingly easy, and I continued going to work, sleeping like a baby. I have fantasies of doing it again, but I'm a lot more cautious now than I was at 19. Shame.

Other people get to you with unhelpful things like: "You've got anorexia" or "You have to eat".

Everyone in a 1st world economy has a real eating disorder, they just don't realize it yet.

You do go in for globalizing statements, don't you? Is that "everyone but me", hmm?

Have you travelled in any third-world countries? There's no upside to starvation.

We have plenty of choices these days. Smart people ignore whole aisles in the supermarket. A quick sugar hit carries too many health-destroying factors to be worthwhile.

IMHO,
There are three types (at least of overweight people).

Chemical, cultural/life style, and trauma based.

Chemical could be those with definite deficiency of some sort and their body does not expand "normal" way...you can usually tell a person with a condition by looking at them. This is my observation. The chemical can be thyroid or other hormonal condition. This group is extremely small.

The second one is cultural/life style. This is probably most Americans. Whenever you see people buying 10 ketchup cause it was on sale, you will see overweight people...it is cultural and it is marketed that way and it is dangerous thing for the country...cause basically the govt does not care to regulate what goes in the food and also advertisement and this kind of country will end up millions in hospitals or dying. It is quite sad but it is cultural. This is also generational. The only way to stop this is education and strong will to change life style.

The third option is trauma based which means basically what it implies a person is eating to death as reaction to their childhood or some other trauma along the way. The only way to deal with this is to pinpoint the trauma and heal the trauma. If there is no trauma, there is no reason to eat to death. This eating disorder is similar to any under eaters symptoms. They are all reaction to emotional wound. These can be also generational thing.

A sattvic diet should be really good and helpful for especially healing inner traumas.

check out the mucusless diet healing system (arnold ehret) and prof. spira's info about it on youtube.
I've tried a lot in the past and eating this way plus doing enemas helped me rejuvenate and get tons more energy.
I found this way of eating two years ago and am very happy with it.
the key word in this approach is transitioning. have a look if it resonates and you'll see what I mean.
greetings:-)

You might also consider http://forum.breatharian.info/. It's the world's slowest forum but there's plenty of good information and leads by site owner JMW and others.
