Re: Sister's death

Dealing with the death of a loved one is one of the hardest things in life. I would recommend you talk to someone when you're ready. Leaving things bottled up is not a good idea. There needs to a release (ie., a grieving period)

Take care

Re: What is this?

Sometimes we got to face that facts and accept that people may be better than us at certain things even when we try really hard. I was like this in school. People who studied less than me often ended up with a higher mark. It use to bother me too. But the only person you can be competition is with y...

Re: Hopelessness (but not the depression kind)

24 is not too old. That's a crazy way of think. First of all, get inspired. Watch some videos and documentries of people who beat the "odds". Get positive, make a plan, and find a way to make it happen

Ever Been On A Healing Diet? Looking To Inspire

This could be anything. Vegan, clean-eating, including more fruits and veg. Has anyone ever done anything like this? If so, what were the benefits.

Re: Suddenly stopped feeling emotions

You cannot turn yourself into a sociopath no matter how many TV shows and movie say otherwise. How old are you? I remember when I was in high school I went through a period where I also felt so emotions. Christmas would come and I did not feel joy. We spoke of getting a puppy and I did not feel exci...

Re: Is this normal or a mental condition?

This is what people mean when they saw "nostalgia". I had that feeling today. Something about rainy days spent home reminds of me when I was a child playing video games during the summer vacation with my brother. It's normal and healthy

Re: Child Sexual Experimentation

8 and 12 is not that big of an age difference. You also got to look at how old you guys were developmentally. That may have bought you even closer to age. Also, children experimenting with sexuality is not only normal, it's healthy. It was with someone who were comfortable with and you guys both res...

Re: Husband mental food aversion

I'm in a similar situation as you. Have you ever talked to your husband about that the matter? And showed him how good he could feel if he adapted a healthier lifestyle? Perhaps you could watch some inspiring documentaries or cook meals together,

Re: Why is this girl acting like this?

Sounds like she has feelings for you. Maybe she was mad or hurt you didn't make a move? You said you look her up on facebook sometimes. Do you have feelings for her?

Re: Problems with the parents in law and their family

That sounds complicated. I really feel for ya. It sounds like a toxic environment. Get together a plan and leave. Nothing is worth that kind of stress.

Re: Fear of sleeping and OCD like behavior.

I was much the same as a child. Have you talked to your parents about it? Maybe you could benefit from seeing a counselor.

Re: sleeping horribly and 12+ hours

Do you do anything in your bed? Like eat, watch TV, read, etc. Sometimes when we do, our brain associates our bed with these things instead of sleep. Keep your bed for sleep only. If you don't want to sleep in the morning, find something to keep you occupied. If you find that you're tired all the ti...

Re: Get 30 extra hours a month

Knowing how many hours you are adding on to your day is motivation enough to get up early.

Other thins that help: going to bed early; not eating too much junk before sleep; and having a reason to get up (get errands done, write, read, etc)
