Depression and despair

Postby Monsieur_Catastrophe » Sun Mar 06, 2016 9:00 pm

Hi,

New member, first post so play nice

I was wondering if anyone who has ever suffered depression can tell me whether they have experienced a severe feeling of despair at all the options and avenues available to them, in terms of relationships, job opportunities, hobbies and socialising??
If so how did you change this and get out of it, or have you not managed too?

Cheers.

continued..

I understand the answer to this question probably is that despair is very common but what I want to work out is how common anhedonia is amongst depression sufferers. Currently, I don't see the point in really pursuing anything, because I don't really want them, they don't solve the problem which underpins my depression....
Does anyone else get high on the regular and then regret it who has these problems too??

Your question is very consistent with the pattern. One of the worst things about depression is its ability to convince you that you are alone
