My Quitting Journal (Starting at Day 93)

Postby PAWSistent » Sun Feb 06, 2022 9:32 pm

It's day 93 (day 130 of NoFap), and things are going alright. My PAWS journey has been different than most, so I figured I would share. The first week-month of quitting was great, I felt on top of the world. After about a month or two, PAWS kicked in. Here are the following symptoms I have experienced:

- Anxiety / existential dread (mostly gone)
- Depression (slightly better)
- Anhedonia (still in full effect)
- Low motivation (still in full effect)
- Brain fog (slightly better)
- Memory issues (slightly better)
- Trouble sleeping (gone)
- Oversleeping (still in full effect - sleeping at least 10 hours per night and taking a 30-90min nap)

Things are getting slightly better over time, but my motivation is still low and it's tough to stick to my schedule and work (I work in sales as an independent contractor and it's tough to motivate myself). The one thing I have no problem with sticking to is weight lifting - it has been the highlight of my day during these tough times. I am trying to keep myself on a schedule, as I feel a lot better when I do. However, some days I just don't have the motivation. I am also trying to limit my internet surfing and high-dopamine activities as much as possible.

I will be making updates on this thread occasionally, because reading other people's experience has helped me maintain my sanity during these tough times.

Nice work! Although I do have these symptoms, I am going to do my best to get back into my routines and being productive. I know that I will feel a lot better if I can do that :)
