Yes, I know, how disappointed you must be that Sigmund Freud or Carl Jung isn't dropping everything to speak to somebody who is Fantasizing about torturing cats.
IF your cat is not clawing at the windows and at the doors, Then you are not really hurting it. you are thumping it and pulling its legs.... I do the same to my cats. After they know it is Just Play, they learn to like it. Cats have the Hardest Time understanding that Rubbing their Bellies is meant to be Affectionate, but once they Learn That, well, they suddenly Realize it actually feels Good!
So, your Problem is in Wanting To Think your are Inflicting Pain.
Do You Really Need Some Genius to figure that out?
I had been thinking about your post... yes... when people write in, it occupies our minds... yes, you are actually imposing on us. I wanted to nap and instead I was thinking about your impulses toward cruelty.... thanks for that.
anyway. I was thinking of a cure. Whether the Cat actually thinks it is being hurt or not... it is what YOU think. Take a Cigarette Lighter and burn your hand in the exact proportion as to give yourself the same Pain as you thought you gave the Cat. This will teach you Empathy.
and it will get you back for having disturbed my naps.
