What color is it?

If you had to pick one color in the entire spectrum of colors, which one would you choose to represent the emotion of Love and why?

A slightly pastel pinkish red - like the color of Valentine's Day candy.

Gotta love American conditioning!

If love is the opposite of hate, I would say that hate is black and love is white.
However the opposite of love is indifference. The colour of indifference is beige so what's the opposite of that ?

Anyway black and white aren't colors, they are shades.

Also it would depend on the type of love your are talking about.

Completely agree with antisocial. Also, would like to point out the fact that, we can't really define things like love, whether it be through colour, words, or even gestures. Each person has their own way of feeling or seeing it, so it'd different for every1.

For me, love is...yellow. Not just Yellow by Coldplay, but also because, I feel loved, safe and warm when the heat from the sun falls on my face. That's my calmest state and always has been.

It's ironic that I hate the colour. :P

The color I would say is Black...and my reason would be related to the post about defining love. As I see it, white is the absence of color, or the reflection of all light rays. Black is the reflection of none...ACCEPTING all rays of color. The ONLY real love is unconditional...anything else is not really love at all. Yeah, I guess I am probably insane! :D

A burning gold, like the sun. I see a lot of comparisons between the sun and love. Warm, nurturing, happy, energetic, always there somewhere (hiding maybe but you know it's there), lifegiving, sometimes gentle soothing rays, sometimes burning and intense, lighting up the darkest corner.....

i'd say white.... all the colours together make white in the spectrum. therefore it's everything.

I'd say green.

It's the most restful color to the human eye. Green represents gardening, nature, freshness, hope and joy. All the elements a relationship needs to flourish on, to produce love. Besides, it's also the color off money. :D

I know it might sound a bit cliché but for me it's dark crimson red like a heart. This is a warm colour because for me it represents loving,it's like a beat that constantly run's through everything in life, it can be caring, strong passionate or gentle. It may not be always visable but it still continues to tick away caring about those close to them.

How can there be a colour for true love?

When you find someone you love, it's about accepting all that they are, understanding them and the willingness to keep them by your side forever. You can't mix all those separate aspects together into black and envelope them all, as they all pose different ways of living and udnerstand with that partner, or loving one person would be like loving the rest.

Love is..what is love?
Its a vivid red when there's passion?
Its a soft pink when there's fluffiness?
Its a sun yellow when you're happy?
Its a never ending black in dark times?
It glows orange when you have children?

There isnt a colour to represent love to me, because they all do.
