YES...there are consequences for your decisions. You are 21, an adult that can do whatever you wish. You can choose to leave and go live on the streets. You can choose to place yourself in a terrible area. You don't have to sit in a room applying for jobs. If you do sit there, that is your choice, your consequences for the decision YOU are making as an adult.
From your OP it sounds like you have lived a very sheltered life. Your parents have struggled to teach you how to grow up and be an adult. Maybe your parents have enabled you to be weak. Maybe your parents have been overprotective, but the past does not change the hard fact that YOU can choose whatever path you wish AND you will rightfully gain or suffer the consequences of your choices. That is the way life works and it is wonderful.
At 21, get a damn job. Save some money and learn to live on your own. Stop relying on mommy and daddy to provide you everything. I understand your parents have a role in providing and enabling you to feel like the world is to blame and you are the victim, but that kind of thinking stops with you, no one else. Only you can decide that you are in charge of your life.
Make it a good day.
