I am fortunate. My daily struggles are generally limited to some form of procrastination. Responding to this question, for instance, is a form of procrastination. There are much better ways to spend my time.
To overcome my tendency to procrastinate, I set short term goals, things I want to accomplish in the next two to four weeks. Then, during the week I try to focus on just these goals, not allowing myself to be distracted. Every Sunday I review my progress, make adjustments, sometimes tweak my process, and get ready for the next week.
It is certainly not a fail proof process. This post is direct evidence. Still, it is arguably better than no process.
