A woman sent me a Christmas card with her photo on it

Postby Fireball » Mon Dec 30, 2019 3:14 am

A woman I have been chatting on social media app for couple weeks sent me a digital christmas card with her photo (when she was like 5 year old) at the corner of the card. The main part of the card has some kind of dessert she made. What does it mean? I asked her about who was that little girl on the card. She has been ignoring me since. I know that little girl was her because she looked exactly like her.

You have been online dating since joining this forum in 2010.

You read into things. You think there is meaning when there is none.

She sent that Xmas card to 50+ people over the last week or so. The card doesn’t mean anything. The Photo means nothing. It is normal for people to share an Xmas card/photo.

She has decided to ignore your comment because she has other men that she finds more interesting. If those conversations don’t work out maybe she circles back to you. Probably not.

Since 2010 how many live dates have you been on from a dating site? How many girlfriends have you had?

Perhaps just her daughter?? Like how lots of people like to send cards with their kids' pictures on. Was the dessert a christmas pudding per chance?!

I don't think she sent to 50 other people. They don't celebrate christmas in her country. I am chatting with someone overseas. I am chatting with few other women too. This one seems to be most attracted to. She was the one initiate contacting me on dating site. Very few women will initiate contact because they already getting hundreds messages a day from men. At least she is some what interested.

Okay...believe what you wish.

It has been since 2010.

-1- How many actual dates have you gone on over the years from online sites? So many you can't count? A dozen? Two? None?

-2- How many dates from online sites have turned into actual intimate relationships, i.e. girlfriends? It has been 9 years. Three relationships? Four? Ten?...or zero?

So the lack of response is a good indication that the answer is at or relatively near zero to both -1- and -2-.

It has been ~9 years of online dating and it has resulted in miserable results.

So I will give a little bit of advice...

Pursue relationships locally. If you truly are seeking an actual relationship, stop wasting time on this fantasy online distance, in another country, bu@!sh#t.

Stop wasting hour after hour, day after day, year after year, playing the game of "why did she send me an Xmas card and then ignore me".

You might wish to say, "There are no local girls" but that is just a huge @#@@* excuse. You are not successful online. You fear you will not be successful locally. And it is probably true.

You probably will struggle locally, same as you struggle online. But, at least with local you might actually have a chance.

Anyway, assuming that your goal is actually finding and getting involved in a relationship, that's my advice. GET OFF DATING SITES! Stop wasting your life pursuing relationships you obviously can't close.

If I'm wrong...if you don't have the goal of finding a real relationship, then stop wasting everyone's time with your dumb games about interpreting what some girl in another country is saying when she sends you along with 50 other people an Xmas card.
