Feeling like I'm genuinely dying - weed withdrawal

Postby ScienceStudent » Fri May 07, 2021 9:13 pm

Hello, I've been lurking for a while and have been attempting to quit for a while.

At the moment I'm 5 days sober but feel like utter s***. I feel so dizzy constantly and feel so out of touch with this world and I fear that its more than just weed withdrawal and is actually a medical condition that will end up killing me. I can't concentrate at all and it gets worse after I've eaten to the point where I have to go and lie down in case I pass out.
At the same time I'm 99% certain that it has to be just withdrawal but it feels too much for it to just be that.....

Can anyone relate? Or tell me that this is normal and expected?

I the beginning I was getting dizzy a lot. I also have the same feelings of this being something other then withdrawals but then I look at my timeline and realize majority of my issues came after I stopped smoking. I am in the process of getting blood work and my GI track checked out and I'm sure if that comes back it will ease the medical anxiety I have. Give it more time. I am on day 80 and still feel shitty. I can see it getting better but it is depressing knowing it might take a long time to be back to normal. You got this man.

5 days sober is still early. You are still in acute withdrawal. If youre lucky, you might not get PAWS. But if youve been smoking for awhile, then you might start getting PAWS symptoms after a few weeks and they might last from a few months up to 3 years but the worst of the symptoms dissipate within the first few months for pretty much everyone. The symptoms to go away last are usually depression, insomnia, and anxiety. Good luck.

When I first quit, my withdrawal was pretty miserable; constant nausea, debilitating headache, all my muscles ached, and I was confused and found it hard to think; nor could I put words together.

Many of these stayed with me for a long time (PAWS) but a few of these symptoms were acute withdrawal and went away in a couple weeks.

I have been feeling out of touch with the world too and I wonder if that's just my own mental health issues. Maybe smoking has just taken a lot from us. Welp, lets just keep going and see what happens!

If you are feeling a bit cold or aches and pains that could be a sign that perhaps unbeknown to you but when it’s grown it’s sprinkled with heroin? I’ve seen heroin mark a urine test when the patient has stated that they only smoke weed. The fact is that the truth of the production line is something that we will never know. so mindfulness is going to be a great sense of self awareness for knowing what the truth about certain situations? Stay safe.

I doubt very much weed growers would sprinkle heroin on it.. it's fallacies like this which have demonized weed for years. A self reported denial of opiate use is much more likely.

I felt like I was dying for the first 5 months. I was hospitalized in the beginning when I first quit because my heart wouldn’t stop palpitating, and had every test imaginable done. Nothing! It’s the weed. I used edibles for 2 years and it wasn’t even to get high, just for anxiety and sleep. I am still struggling to feel better and it will be 8 months off, soon. I have tinnitus and panic disorder now because my heart started racing when I stopped and to this day hasn’t quit. I have to take medication to keep it from racing all day and night. I am praying that eventually I will function normal again. I hate the tinnitus, it’s the worst!

When I quit smoking, I was very angry with others, I took off at every little thing. The first 2 weeks I felt hungry all the time, but the bulk passed. They say both good and bad habits are developed after 24 days. I did not notice, but approximately it happened - I went into work with my head, and I did not have time to smoke
