Is it illegal to use someone else's pre loaded script and post it for free on the Internet? I downloaded virtual hypnosis and there are some pre made scripts in there... I just wanted to know if I can post a video somewhere for free with it... Is there anything illegal about doing that?

What if I posted the video for sale or tape for sale? Is that illegal?

You'd need to check their Terms and Conditions of use on the site.

Some give away scripts with the intention they can be used freely in any way you choose. Others only do so for you to use with private clients. It all depends what they want to retain in terms of copyright.

You would possibly get around that by rewriting the script in your own words.

if you could access the script without paying for it then it is likely free for you to use anyway youwant but i you paid for it then you must seek the permission of htre author i would think

If it's already free for anyone to use, I don't see a problem using it. You may just want to include the link on your site.

Checking with the terms of condition, getting permission from the author/creator is a good move especially if you would like to re-purpose and sell it online.

Some author give it out for free or as a bonuses to others because it helps them to gain more exposure as well. Another alternative would be giving them credit when you use their materials.

Having said that, if it comes to worse, probably they will just ask you to pull it down from your website or so. Don't have to be too worry about that.
