Only one person, quietvoice, has made this statement.

For over 2 million years, our ancestors have eaten meat.

https://www.history.com/news/why-humans-eat-meat

“The grassland savannas that spread across Africa supported growing numbers of grazing herbivores. Archaeologists have found large herbivore bones dating from 2.5 million years ago with telltale cut marks from crude stone tools. Our ancient hominin ancestors weren’t capable hunters yet, but likely scavenged the meat from fallen carcasses.”

Note…initially our ancestors were scavengers. They didn’t kill.

There is nothing mentally unhealthy about eating meat.

There is no best.

Just try to do a little better when you can. You like sweets. You drink alcohol. Don’t worry about it. Eat a decent balance of things you enjoy, but don’t be a glutton. Eat in moderation. Maintain a healthy weight.

Indeed weight became a problem for me. I think of having long walks to deal with the situation but it seem that has its own problems. Excessive weight tires my internal organs specially my heart. I can feel that when i breathe. What can i do?

It’s harder to binge and/or overeat if you eat vegetables. It’s easier to overeat with meat.

Note, there are plenty of unhealthy vegans. They avoid meat, but eat tons of sugar in various forms. But, as my first sentence points out, it is difficult to overeat if you consume fruits/vegetables.

Sidenote, (1) people in Hong Kong eat more meat annually than most, and (2) have one of the longest life expectancies. It demonstrates that a high meat diet does not translate to a shorter lifespan.

https://food.ndtv.com/food-drinks/diet- ... rs-1730490

And here is a list of people that ate a variety of diets living roughly 100 years or more.

Point being, the types of foods you eat is not necessarily going to change how long you live or your quality of life.

Focus less on what you eat and more on how much. Focus on the binging. If eating vegetables stops the binging, then eat more vegetables.

My guess is binges are caused by sugar addiction. Vegetables are low in sugar. Meat has no sugar.

By ONE person. Quietvoice is a vegan so she has repeatedly told you to eat fruits and vegetables, because that is her personal agenda.

Just because one person repeats the same message, it doesn’t make it true. It doesn’t make it good advice.

See desperate? One vegan has repeatedly told you to eat fruits and vegetables. Only quietvoice pushes her agenda on you.

No other member has pushed any diet on you. So it isn’t “the board” telling you to be a vegan. It’s only quietvoice.
