Well, you could try embedded commands. As you're taking your tour, say things like "When I first started working here, one of the more experienced employees said he'd ...give me a tip..." Or "I thought I knew everything then, but that was only the ...tip... of the iceberg." Just emphasize the command very slightly, so people don't notice that you're doing it, and pause slightly before and after. It might take some practice.
You might also experiment with different kinds of behaviors and see which lead to better tips. As an example, waiters in restaurants have found that crouching down so that their faces are at eye level for the customers often get better tips. Also, touching the customer's hand slightly when handing them things gets them better tips. So you could try things like that -- see if different variations on the tour give better tips or something.
