Re: Hypnosis & Tinnitus

As far as I am aware there is no reliable hypnotic treatment for tinnitus. The sufferer first needs see their GP/Audiologist/ENT consultant to identify what underlying issue could be causing it e.g. hearing loss. If there is no organic cause then hypnosis can be used to establish emotional links e.g...

Re: People get insulted when you doubt in their statement?

What is the situation, your goal, the sensitivity of the other person, the impact/consequence of the statement on you/your work place? At one end of the continuum, people do get insulted, angry and then make a huge effort to prove that they are right because of their ego. If you are looking to poten...

Re: My anxiety is back time to give up the caffiene?

It's worth doing for 3 - 6 months to see if it is a consistent trigger for your anxiety. It may just make your anxiety worse.

Drink something else. It takes several attempts to acquire a taste for something new.

Re: GF no contact

As you say, this situation is opening up the worthlessness from your father's abandonment. You are left obsessing over the reason why, rather than taking care of yourself. In the absence of having an explanation from your GF, give yourself an explanation that decisively puts closure on it. What woul...

Re: Jealousy of sister getting worst

She is your imagined rival, yet she is not trying to take anything away from you. What are you still trying to compete for? Status? Attention? Whose attention?

What do you want to do that will lift your self esteem and that cannot be compared to any aspect of her?

Re: HELP! How Do I Undo Hypnosis?

If you are highly suggestible, what can be learned can be easily re (un) learned.

Create your own audio file of your voice suggesting that you can release the effects of the original material. Add your own new suggestions to heighten your arousal again.

Re: Lost zest for my kid

Praise the behaviour you want to encourage, ignore the behaviour you want to stop. It's a vicious circle. He's crying out for attention. You'll find it easier to communicate with him when you are showing an interest in him. Meditate after work before you see him so that your head is clear and focuse...

Re: What was wrong with me as a child?

Sounds like social anxiety. Being around people placed you on the alert, increased your stress levels, which meant that you were preoccuppied with your own anxiety symptoms, feared embarrassment/judgement, tried too hard to hold a conversation etc. Learning to relax by yourself and when around peopl...

Re: I can't relax

You are dealing with this non-assertively to the point that you are blaming your anxiety on the situation. He is giving you the run-around and I imagine that this will only get worse as time goes on. In the short-term, leaving him will give you more anxiety, but believe that you can do better on you...

Re: Breathing problems

Ensure that there is no underlying physical cause with your GP. In the meantime, learning how to breathe to relax would benefit you in many ways, including helping with anxiety:

Re: What just happened ? toxic family - again

When she doesn't have what she wants, it makes her more determined to get it.

Let the rest of the family approach you and tell them how it is. Stay confident in your strategy.

Re: What just happened ? toxic family - again

You recognise her manipulation and control. Just keep doing as you are doing, keeping her at a distance and refusing any gifts (which will come with strings attached). You wife also sounds like she is wary of her hidden intentions. If your mother and your ex share a friendship and want to maintain t...

Re: I think I'm loosing my grip on reality

The OP mentioned being attacked which can be a cause PTSD. They also mentioned symptoms of confusion and feeling disconnected which are common symptoms. There's probably a lot more that they don't want to "bother" anyone with. http://www.clinicalhypnotherapy-cardiff.co.uk/post-traumatic-st...
