Events at which after dinner speakers usually features vary in genre, ranging from sports dinners to charity fundraisers to corporate gatherings and much more, but in all the events the aim of the speaker remains the same, that is to entertain the audience. In general, the after dinner speakers are the highlight of the evening parties and they put all their efforts to make the event unforgettable. But, they have varying degree of success. There are certain tell tale signs of a good and experienced after dinner speakers that you must have if you looking forward to become the next after dinner speaker.
The after dinner speakers must have the skill set to combine intelligence, humor, charisma and entertainment into one single presentation to entertain the audience in the event. I prefer to be a before breakfast speaker, preferably directly after the first cup of coffee crowd.

Stick to three points or you'll lose the attention of your audience. You lost me after the second repetitive thought.

Very good points but I think you made it more complex than it needed to be. You just want to be straight to the point, avoid repeating unless you are in the closing statement, and always appear open and friendly.
