Postby emma22 » Sat Aug 27, 2005 7:55 pm

yesterday i grabbed a pair of sicsors and threatened my mom with them and told her i was going to kill her if she didn't leave me alone since she was always checking me out to see if i was alright since i wasn't in a good mood. what's wrong with me? i never did that before and i am not the type to do that.

I've got no idea what advice to give but I just wanted to let you know that I'm having something very similar, getting so angry that I sometimes don't trust what I'll do but without any explanation for it.

It sounds as if 'not in a good mood' may perhaps be an understatement? these sorts of outbursts can occur when a person feels helpless, and can feel as though people who are trying to help, are actually patronising or trying to 'help' you as if they think your incompetant and have to do it themselves.

what are you sad about and how long has that been going on for?

yeah probably is an understatement. i think i am really depressed and want to die and when i'm in that mood i just want my mom to leave me alone but i never did that before. i wouldn't want to hurt her but when i am inthat state of mind i could do anything.

Yeah, I know what you mean....sometimes the best way to deal with anger issues is to vent them out to someone who is far removed from the situation and yet will actively listen to your concerns. Try to find that person who will listen to you without judging and I think it that might help. That's when friends come in handy.
