Profesional life

Hello,

I just start my Profesional life as a consultant, i find that i have to change my attitude to have success in my career. Indeed, i am always worried in every action that I am doing every time. For example, when i am writing an email to my manager, i read it at least 10 times so i don't send the email with error. When I am speaking i think too much before saying anything. I am always hesitating and i pass too much time to do or say something. The same for the calling phones, i am lost when i talk with a client, and i don't think about a solution but i think about the problem itself. Guys! I need a self confidence and i want to be the person who is right with his team even if he is wrong sometimes. Please tell me more about your experience as a consultant and how you deal with the issues that you have met.

Thank you very much

Consultant is a very general term. You are going to want to start building confidence by establishing specific expectations and then build your confidence in meeting those expectations. This means, have a meeting with your manager, have a conversation where you are very direct and ask the manager what are his/her expectations and which are priority.

Based on the skills, knowledge, and attitudes (SKA's) required to meet these expectations, create a list of which ones you believe you struggle with and begin the process of deliberately practicing those abilities.

It boils down to education/training/practice.
