Desperate's history will answer that question: NOTHING. He'll do nothing.

I appreciate the positive energy in your posts to him but you might like to read some of his threads. He complains about everything, and every solution has been proposed, but he "can't" do anything other than complain, and he's admitted (albeit in only one post I've seen) that he enjoys suffering. He pleads for help and advice about every little decision: whether walking is bad for him, or visiting his family over Christmas, or having a beer.

Well, I've made this proposal to another zealous new member, and I'll make it again: if you get our desperate to a happy place, I'll buy you a shiny new car.

Candid, I def can see your point for sure, and I doubt I will be the one to get him to do something, but I figured try for now and see. The car is a perk haha.
Desperate- if you have the energy to be on this form you have the energy to go on to indeed. com and look.

Here is what you will do.
Tomorrow you will by 1p.m. (or after work) turn on your computer and type indeed.com

Then you search on this website and apply to 3 places. You can and will not sign off until you do this.

Then you will check your email and the indeed email daily to see if you get a response.

Just try the 3 steps above to START and see how you feel.

On Wednesday, you are going to at some point before bed, go sit at a cafe or resturant and order a cup of tea or a starter and just sit there, take deep breaths, and just "be". If you cant handle ppl, go through a drive thru, park your car somewhere overlooking the water, and sit and eat in there. No phone on nothing.

On Thursday, your going to sign back on to here, and tell me that you did the above instructions, and we will go from there. No excuses. 8)

Thank you Desperate788, you do that for me, I will stick on here for a bit and chat with ya. Lets just try somethings and see how it goes. So you got assignments for tomorrow and Wednesday and will report back on Thursday.

Indeed.com is a job search engine. Once you click on it you can enter full time or part time and then your location. On the left side you can narrow your choices further by, searching jobs that are say $15 and up for example. You can also just search within indeeds search bar, jobs you like, example " part time phone operator-eveings".

Do not get too caught up in the job requirements, bc most places make a job seem so complicated when it isnt. Just make sure you get the over all jist of what they are looking for, and the rest can be hashed out if and when you get an interview.

Just think of it--possible freedom. Will it solve all your problems, no, will you still be feeling sad, sure, we will work on the rest later, but lets start with trying to get you out of the misery of your current job.

Trust me, I think I changed more jobs than most on here, no shame. Health and life happens.

hmm you can google resume templates and use that. If you go on indeed that website actually helps you write one as well, and you can click on your skills, simple things like example "can use Microsoft word" "Data entry" "phone work" and you just cllick on everything you have ever done or know and it creates a list which makes you look like a rock star haha.

Basically you write a brief introduction, list your past and current job and your duties, and really thats about it.

Again if you google a resume template you can just use that and edit it a little bit to where it fits you. Im very curious how the next two days for you will go and am very happy that you will try.

Yes resumes are sooo boring I hate them too but if you create one, then you just save it and can add to it for the future. Just keep it simple.

There we go. Constantly soliciting solutions, following up every time with "nope, can't do that".

Classic trolling behaviour.

Desperate--ohhh no you dont...you told me you would do these tasks, so you gotta do them, please. Come on now, you got this. Think of your resume as writing on here kinda, except your noting past jobs you did versus emotions. Its just typing. Just put 3 past jobs down, no references, if you get an interview you can worry about the references then. I look forward to your report on Thursday!

Anxious is ok, new steps, tomorrow is Thursday so we will see what you did the past two days in regards to what you and I discussed. Today I think what was on the to do list was go get some food, go sit in your car and eat it at a park or at the waterside and just breathe and look around.

Yesterday you were to go on indeed.com and apply to 3 jobs. If you can atleast do one of these, that would be good. If you need more time for the resume, I understand, but you gotta get through this because you want some form of change. Im anxious too, and mornings feel miserable to me, but Im up on here, then gonna plug into to some work and hit the road to visit my aunt, dreading the drive and the morning traffic and blinding sun...but...I do it and I find out when I get going, its not so bad at all. Think perks, I get to grab some hot breakfast on the way and then see someone who loves me.

For you, you get a bite to eat as well, you said you liked looking at the water, and your resume is one thing you conquer that you didnt think you could and it is the tool that can open new doors in your life. Its kinda worth the time and anxiety that comes with it I think vs no progress and stuck forever and ever.

Registering at the site and creating the resume..not in the mood for today at least. All I want is sleep with a peace of mind.
