Re: Parent Boundaries?

"I’m not so sure. Candy is the one that keeps a tally of who owes who. Candy is the one that expects if she does XYZ then she is owed friendship. This other woman might have no idea that Candy is keeping score. She just knows Candy as a person that is constantly willing to help and is oblivious...

Re: Parent Boundaries?

Re: Social Distance

Candid I don't think you would. Again like my husband, you rarely find connection. It's threatening to you, as you're well aware. I find connection very easily but probably with a false front. I have friends up and down the east coast of Australia as well as friends here in Reading and the aforement...

Re: What goes up, must come down

Hi Candid, Im sorry to hear you miss your father as well. I know times such as this probably bring up emotions for both you and I, as it seems the fathers in our lives, were the only sense of normal? ( I get this bc of the relationship you mentioned with your mom, and the loaded gun with mine ha)......

Re: What goes up, must come down

no, haha the kiddo has nothing to do with the adaptation, infact---actually it would be a huge benefit to her because my husband would be more emotionally mature for both of us. What I meant by it might affect her was, if I decided to up and leave right now, or next year...just pack up and go ...THA...

Re: What goes up, must come down

Hi Richard, Im def not using the kid as a excuse, I know this is my choice and right now I choose what it best for all of us--but, when and if it comes time to where certain things I do do not directly affect her, and (if things and I hope they dont--get worse as far as no emotional understanding if...

Re: Staying alive

Yes it is hard times, it sounds like your doing ok which is a lot considering how you were feeling mentally. Its not so bad right now but I do worry how long it will last and the after math. Just one day at a time.

Re: Social Distance

Hi Richard, Im so confused myself of your post, I think we misunderstand each other a bit, but that's ok. I just made this post to reach out to see if anyone is feeling a little "better" since the self distancing ordeal. (lack of money/jobs and health aside.) I was trying to say I see the ...

Re: What goes up, must come down

Hi Richard, Its funny you mentioned self reflection, I had that moment when in the mist of my feeling the way I was with my husband, I broke down in the store (they played a song called heartattack) and BAM_- floodgates. Turns out, most of whatever it was I was feeling, was--- I just missed my dad. ...

What goes up, must come down

Old readers know about my prior posts, but to the new readers, need advice. I ask very little out of my relationship..very little. I dont ask for gifts, birthdays, anniverseries, flowers....I stopped wishing for any form of pedestal when it comes to group outings as Im always left in the background,...

Re: Social Distance

I appreciate your feedback. I dunno, this just strengthens my position on introvertness. I feel so much better physically and mentally, I feel happier. Traffic is good, the noise has gone waaay down, shopping isnt too bad unless its the grocery store. People are drawing happy things with chalk on si...
