Creative genius has often been linked to disability, whether it’s mental illness like the madness of Van Gogh, or more recently claims have been made that Michelangelo had Aspergers, a form of autism. Most of us assume that you’re either born with a creative brain or you’re not. But a new case has come to light where brain damage following a stroke has triggered a compulsion to create.
