Counsellors private life

Its resently come to light that I know some of the same people my counsellor does, should i bring it up in my next session?

It might change your relationship with your counsellor, if he or she feels that certain professional boundaries need to be maintained. Having said that, I think it's a good idea to disclose this information.

Yes, bring it up in conversation. The counsellor needs to know the information and may be perfectly comfortable in explaining professional boundaries to you in the session regarding the info you give them.
