Hello again!
Well, i've now had two sessions at Uncommon Knowledge in Brighton (with a lovely lady called Jill) - as well as doing the panic prevention program CD on and off ... and i have to say that i feel fantatsic! My panic and anxiety levels have reduced significantly and i am so much more confident and relaxed in situations, which a couple of months ago i would have found difficult or tried to avoid.
The big test for me will be this sunday though, as i'm going to Thornbury for a 'works' do and staying until monday to see the manufacturing plant (i design consumer packaging!). Anyway, it has been this (the prospect of traveling to Thornbury with my colluages by car) that has been the cause of my worry, as i was terrified i would wig out and panic in the car and ultimately embarrass myself ... but now, i feel like i'm capable of doing it (although i'll probably have me rescue remedy at hand, just incase!).
Fingers crossed all will be well. I know i can do it deep down, and once i've done it, i know i'll be like ... 'what was all the fuss about!'. I do think that it's with every step that is achieved (that might have once been scary) ... the easier it becomes and better we feel.
I thoroughly recommend anyone who has experienced any sort of panic attack or levels of anxiety to see a therapist, it has definately worked wonders for me!
With all my thanks to all at Uncommon Knowledge, you do a great job and to those who post and read the forum ... you can do it!
