Based on my past experience, the management team would not normally change their way of doing things, unless a serious problem came up. So I'm wondering if this is the case for all companies, I mean, why don't people take a proactive approach in addressing the issue before it comes too big of a problem? Because often times that when a problem becomes too big, it may even be too late or you will have to put in ten times the effort to fix it.

I can give you a very specific example, one of the companies my friend worked at had really terrible management, the issue was ongoing for quite a while and as a result half of the staff quit, and by losing half of its staff the company almost went bankrupt because of the discruption in day to day operations. Then the company went through some serious internal reorganization, and its management style changed drastically (for the better) afterwards. The company literally had to go through a near-death experience to realize its mistakes and change for the better, isn't that pretty stupid? I mean, you literally had to get hit by a car and only then would you realize you'd have to be careful when crossing the street? I mean, what if you didn't survive the accident? You won't even get a chance to reflect on your mistakes. In the case with my friend's company, it's a miracle that it survived but what if it didn't? Let me assure you, there are a lot of companies that didn't.

The perceived pain of change is often greater than it really turns out to be. Changing proactively tends to happen when people have gone through enough suffering already to know that it is best to go with the flow of daily change. People who live in the moment, trust their instinct, surrender to what is and flow, adapt with and accept change tend to lead happier healthier lives.
