Did I fall asleep or do I just not remember?

Scottsdale,

You have had a 100% success rate with every single client you have seen in the last 2 years?

How many clients? How long afterwards do you follow up to find out if the results held?

When our profession is offended, then the defense is going to be the other side, Richard. It's the rules of any game.
So if you go around offending others of their profession, you will get a defensive posture. The best defense is a good offense. So I could just become offensive on your profession, but won't go there.

I would instead suggest that we all learn to play well with others. Respect each other for our professional expertise, and try not to misinform the public about things you may have a little blindness, lack of awareness, or lack of knowledge.

Hypnosis is a profound way to create change quickly, whether changing a behavior, fear, phobia, or creating positive change in their life. And, yes, much faster than alternative professions, which will remain nameless.

Yes, I have been lucky, so far, Joe in smoking cessation.

I life coach along with hypnosis, and I don't leave a smoker who wants to quit behind.

That is the key, I don't make an appointment unless they are ready, willing and able to change.
Usually, they have to have paid for their session, rather than a spouse or someone for them.
I want them to have a commitment to the success.

As far as the other clients I work with they all have unique issues. But whether they want to get pregnant (they do)
change a fear, improve their finances, success or promotion, or achieve a competitive fighter pilot seat, yes, they do.

Would I give those kind of things, a % or quantify it? Not sure how you can. My clients are happier and better,
so they tell me--and so I see as they show me.

How long do I keep in touch? I follow up that night with recording and suggestion or links for them, text them a few days after to see how they are doing. And may follow up as I think of them and wish them well. They are on my mailing list, and my business is from referrals, and I'm as busy as I want to be.. No google ads or advertising. I just placed my first ad in 5 years to support a website. It's 1" x 2" on a website. So something is working.

The key factor I think is with intention. As a hypnotist, our intention has to be working for our client's best happiness & outcome.

Have at it. There is plenty of room for improvement in my profession.

Respect each other for our professional expertise, and try not to misinform the public about things you may have a little blindness, lack of awareness, or lack of knowledge.

Which is exactly my point. Hypnosis unfortunately has a bad reputation. Why?

It isn’t because of people like me hailing the benefits and sharing the limits of hypnosis. It isn’t because of clinicians and researchers that apply hypnosis effectively using protocols from controlled, replicated, peer reviewed studies.

There is a different reason hypnosis struggles to shake off the reputation of pseudoscience.
