Hello,
My name is Alex; I'm a student in Interactive Multimedia Design for the College in Mechelen, Belgium. I'm conceptualizing an idea I had that might intrest you all. I wanted to see what you would think.
Here's the pitch: what would you think if, in your office (where you would treat patients), you would have a lighting equipment installed that would change colour based on what patient you would be treating and what needs this patient would have. I'm thinking, for example: if you were treating a patient, with autism spectrum disorder, you would display other colours (softer, less vibrant ones) than if you were treating someone with depression (brighter, joyful colours).
This would all be controlled from an app on mobile devices/desktop. Later on, this lighting fixture could be coupled to audio (music and/or ambient sounds) and smells as well (imagine, sea air or fresh mowed lawn) , as both those help in soothing emotions.
The idea is that patients feel more comfortable this way; even in an environment that wouldn't otherwise feel as welcoming.
Based on what you have read thus far, what would you think of this idea? Would you support it? Are you against it?
Please give me ANYTHING you think off!
I hope to hear from you all very soon!
