Stop weed but other drugs too?

Hi there!

I've got a question that the answer is quite obvious, but anyway I would like to know your opinion about this.

I've been smoking weed for so many years and I've already stopped it. I want to recovery my brain as soon as possible because life was so painful before.

It's been few months since I stop and I am already so much better, I can focus and work. I am now changing my career, doing interviews and It is not going that bad. I am also doing sports, eating healthy, meditating.

I guess THC affects one part of the brain, but how bad is to take other drugs occasionaly? I mean would it stop my brain from recovering?

For example, Alcohol is also really harmful, I am not a heavy drinker either but even if i stop taking THC, my brain is gonna get better anyway?

What about other drugs? Extasis? Ketamine? Is it that bad if occasionally I take something? Would it interrupt the healing process of my brain?

Clubs are opening again in Berlin, after coronavirus. I wonder If I could go dancing again without taking any substance. I know the answer is "Dont take anything if you wanna get better".

But does anyone knows about what the difference between THC and other substance use effects in the brain?

i used to smoke weed everyday and that was killing me. I just wonder if i could take other drugs spontaneously, once a month or so.

My goal is to get better and to have control of my life again. If I have to stop drinking beer, i will do it... but I think that stoping the weed it is already a huge change and I already feel so much better.

Thanks a lot!

Really? It doesn’t sound like it.

It sounds like you just want to find a substitute to keep “the party” going. You want to go to the clubs as they reopen, not relapse on weed, but instead substitute other recreational drugs and then label that controlling your life.

Don’t go to the clubs.

If you really want to control your life, find a better use of your time than hanging out in clubs where drug use is everywhere.

And yes…using other drugs will slow your recovery. How much? It really depends on which drugs and how frequently you use them. A glass of wine every week will probably have little impact, but binging on LSD because you are clubbing will probably do you no favors.
