How to speak naturally from memory as it would beFrom heart?

You can check it out the many latest tips for better communications....

Five tips for an effective presentation:
1. You must be convinced that what you have to present is wonderful. No, make that marvelous.
2. You must be clear, present in an authoritative voice (if your voice is not so good, hire a voice coach, seriously).
3. You must outline every step of your thinking process: people love to hear the behind the scenes of how an idea developed. Perhaps you thought of this particular strategy for bylines while riding a rollercoaster, so say so. Designers have such reputations for the quirky that nobody will be surprised.
4. Add humor and make your presentation as personal as possible. Whatever you do, do not read from a script, and even avoid cue cards in front of you. The best presentation is like a conversation with someone you like, where the ideas flow naturally (even if you have rehearsed it all beforehand).
5. Don’t apologize for any part of your presentation. If you begin by saying something like “if I had had more time, I would have…..” you are running the risk that someone will tell you to, in fact, go back, take your time and return when you have the presentation up to your standards. Once you are in front of the group, you are a believer, you love your ideas and you state them clearly and passionately.

“I have this problem while public speaking - I can easily learn any long text into memory.
But while speaking, it’s not natural.
Completely different as it would be from heart.”

When you sit down to learn your speech, one approach is to look at the thoughts that the words are expressing.

Write these thoughts and link them together.

Then learn the thoughts and that will automatically come from your heart.

07 05 13 Speak Naturally

Here is an example:

The speech:
“So the statistics show that 1,000,000 people are suffering from this problem and as a result, experience severe pain.
This is something we need to deal with.”

The thought is:

“So many people are suffering from this problem and I (we) want to help reduce the pain.”

You can still learn the speech and with the thought in you mind as you say it, it colours your speech with emotion.

Try reading each of the above lines and see how they feel different to you.

Regards

Wilfred

Hi,
Best technique would be to first read the speech properly.
Then jot down the main points that you are going to convey.
To remember each sentence just make a map of the important words.
Starting with the first sentence remember the word or phrase two words or three and then go over it. So on and so forth. This technique will enable you master the whole speech.
If you cannot do so by knowing the gist from sentence will help you to give the speech with clarity of thought and confidence. Try it.

All the best and to your success.

Hi,

just following on from what Wilfred said:

"You can still learn the speech and with the thought in you mind as you say it, it colours your speech with emotion"

And I believe "emotion" is the key word here -- for me, it doesnt matter how many ideas and facts and information you want to share with your audience -- if you havent connected with them first chances are, what you say will fall on deaf ears. And the connection comes from a human emotion -- your heart.

So yea, totally agree with Wilfred, speak from your heart (not just your head) and when you speak from your heart, you can't get anymore natural than that.

All the best :D

Hi,
Its good that you have good memory, for many it always takes ages to memorize.
My suggestion is not just mug up the speech.
But understand it and read with feelings.
Put feel into the memorization.

I think both methods are natural speaking method. When you speak from memory then your mind is concentrating on what you have recited for speaking. And when you speak from heart, then your mind also plan continually along with your speaking what you have to speak further. If your mind is set up and don't going here and there on any meaningless things, then you will speak naturally, whether you are speaking from memory or heart.
