Do omega 3 supplements work?

Postby desperate788 » Fri Sep 21, 2018 6:46 pm

I think it's one of the most credible supplements. I take one solgar triple strength capsule daily. Switched from a local fish oil brand. I indeed wonder if omega 3 really works for brain repair and depression..

My disease is beyond depression but including depression. A case that doesn't respond to ads. It's highly evolved.

So then your answer is no. Omega 3 supplements do not repair depression.

A person has depression. They eat an apple every day for 2.5 years. They still have depression. Do apples repair depression? No.

That doesn’t mean eating an apple/taking a supplement each day is a bad idea. It could have other benefits, but the apple/supplement does not repair depression.

Everybody knows that Apple doesn't cure depression but I think there is some scientific data hinting omegas benefits to cure mental disease..its conflicting and confusing that's why I asked..

You have been taking omega 3 for 2.5 years. Is your mental disease cured?

Yes = omega 3 supplements worked for you.
No = omega 3 supplements did not work for you.

If you go to the doctor for a visible red rash and he gives you medicine, if the rash doesn’t go away in 2 weeks the doctor doesn’t keep giving you the medicine. It is clear the medicine didnt’ work to cure the rash. The doctor treats the rash another way. If the rash is cured, the medicine worked.

Would you apply medicine for 2.5 years to a rash and still wonder if it worked?

Supplements don't work like meds I think. There may be subtle improvements at my disease don't know if omega 3 is credited for. But I agree it's unlikely. I may quit omega 3. That would be fine for my budget too.
