Fear of Being a Zoosadist

Postby elleestdarby » Sat Jul 04, 2015 2:28 pm

Hi. I am 15 years old, and I am experiencing significant distress in my life. I have OCD and Avoidant Personality Disorder. I do go to therapy, but this topic is too difficult and embarrassing to discuss with him. So here we go. Ever since I was born, I have adored animals. I would protect them at every chance I would get, and it killed me inside to see them hurt. I don't know if any of you are familiar with the movie 'The Butterfly Effect', but there is one scene in there where a boy traps the main character's dog in a bag and sets it on fire. That was very hard to type, and that particular moment stuck with me for almost a year, and bothered me almost daily. Rabbits have always been my favorite animal. This is where I'm confused. I wouldn't call it a fetish, or a fantasy, but when I would play a hunting game, which was not often, and I would kill a rabbit, I would experience some form of sexual arousal. I felt extremely guilty just typing that. Obviously, this isn't me, right? I read an article somewhere that sometimes are sexual fantasies are the opposite of our actual personality. I have NEVER and will NEVER hurt and animal. This has been making my life a living h**l. Please, someone provide me some reassurance.

Some form of sexual arousal? To be clear, you mean an erection?

Plenty of people get sexually aroused by tons of different things. That doesn't mean they act on all of those things. Normal, mentally healthy people can distinguish between fantasy and reality. It sounds like you understand the difference. As long as you are not actually hurting rabbits, you are still safely in fantasy.

Hi, you should be 19 or 20 by now, how did that evolve?

I'm 25 myself, and zoosadist but vegan.. Since i'm an artist it was pretty much impossible for me to hide that I was into animals so my experience is quite different of the average zoofetishist..

When I was 19, i was still a pretty normal furry, so extremely awkward and in a denial that no one bought..

I didnt know that zoosadism was a thing despite my interest in monster slaying, bull fighting and whatnot.. And as long as i didnt know it was a thing I had a very passive form of "degeneracy".. But then I got interested in my own sexuality and the sexuality of others and started to explore it..

And that's when my degeneracy level got out of hand..
So I don't know how yours have evolved and i'm not a professional but as an ethical degenerate who's a bit older and who's spoken to a lot of others "like us", I would advise you that if you're still concerned about having this weird fetish, Do not ever Role play, it's very dangerous.. And don't be too curious about the art that ppl with a fetish similar to yours ended up producing..

Stick to your hunting games, stay away from the real thing and don't play with dead rats when your cat bring you one..
