Postby Pilg » Sun Nov 20, 2016 12:47 pm

Hi, i am new here. I suffer from health anxiety and i am having a big bout of it now. I have been worrying about things for months. My parents getting older, my kids just went off to college, my dogs are aging etc etc. A few days ago i felt weak in my legs and it through me in to a full panic. I have been obsessing over this since then. I feel terrified and want to know exactly why it happened. Please help!

Everyone is getting older, its just a part of life. About feeling weak in your legs, i would google symthoms and if that doesnt help go to a doctor.

Isn't that health anxiety actually a fear of death?

Try to find medical reason why you felt weak in legs. Then just deal whit it and problem gone.

I don't know. I am feeling so much anxiety because I have OCD . It is the doubting disorder. So even though she gave me full neurological exam I still feel scared. I doubt everything when my anxiety OCD hits

May I be very polite to write it a little different.

You have an anxiety and the doctors label that as OCD. OCD is just a label.

The root problem is your anxiety and that causes lot of symptoms like not social, not respectful, compulsion, addictions/escape mechanisms etc.

You have any idea where that fear comes from?

Yes but that doesn't seem to help knowing where it came from
