Hi hannah28, and welcome
I can assure you that you're not alone with this disorder. I don't suffer myself but had a good friend who had several eating disorders, and she went through phases of binge eating.
I learnt a lot from her, and one of the most important things is that any eating disorder isn't really about food or weight or eating at all. It's about other things that are wrong in a person's life, and controlling food becomes a way of dealing and coping with it.
I read
your other thread, and I think there lies the key. Terribly low self esteem and a total hatred of oneself, and the binge eating is in some way compensating or comforting.
So what do you think Hannah - how about writing down a couple of things you like about yourself? You said;
"I don't do anything remotely nasty to anyone", so there's one for a start
Take care,
Nigel
