substitute for green tea

Postby desperate788 » Mon Jul 03, 2017 12:30 pm

Im drinking excessive green tea for years for relaxation purposes. I'm worried about possible damage to my general health due to green tea. This worry increases from time to time but now I seriously think quitting green tea hoping my body balances itself after some time. The problem is I'm not still relaxed what can I do as a substitute for green tea. I used to listen rain sounds recording may that work?

Green tea has caffeine in it, desperate, so it can't be called a relaxant. You'd be better off with conscious breathing.

What is conscious breathing? How is it done practically? I think I won't drink green tea anymore I abused it for years, quite worried. Anyone with any idea like mentioned conscious breathing? What say you candid did I damage my body seriously by drinking green tea so much? Any dietary recommendation to help recovery, not a supplement dietary

Can't reach a conclusion about effects of drinking too much green tea. Richards link says it's not dangerous but I drink much more than that it's scary Im drinking green tea for five years if something dangerous was to happen it already would. Right? Also I don't have any health disturbance other than intense anxiety. Don't know what to do

I suggest you try to go a few days without it and see how you feel. There are other herbal teas eg. chamomile that are more relaxing. Only snag is chamomile doesn't taste good. There are also fruit teas that probably don't do any good but certainly won't do any harm.

Conscious breathing is just sitting quietly and being aware of your breath. You'll probably find it gets deeper, and you can count six in, hold for six, breathe out for six, then nothing for six. It's a good way to calm yourself.

Chamomile is just an other substance that may stress my body from childhood o abused various substances like supplements teas etc this might have damaged my body I'm afraid try on conscious breathing an unstressed unforced relaxed breathing may do wonders indeed if I can achieve its like euphoria breathing exercises at a sunny day

There were days I haven't drunk green tea that doesn't change anything problem is such excessive amounts may damage my kidney or liver by time

Where are you getting your information? It would be almost impossible to DRINK green tea in such amounts it would cause kidney or liver damage. When you drink green tea it is mixed with large volumes of water.

Are you reading Internet articles about green tea extract?

So in simple words drinking green tea even in very large amounts but achievable amounts doesn't damage liver and kidney?. I thought it may be dangerous due to general sense. I haven't read anything about it just general sense. Also my knowledge about health issues is nearly zero. But everybody would think such excess green tea may be dangerous.

Making it strong does mean large amounts of caffeine. How about you assume for now that no damage has been done, but take more water with it from now on?
