Question about PAWS health anxiety

Postby Cthompson21 » Tue Oct 08, 2019 2:26 am

I'm fourteen months in for weed PAWS and I have found i'm sensitive to a lot of substances. Namely caffeine nicotine antidepressants and alchohol, which I have refrained from using. Antibiotics also affect me now, for some reason, they give me bad anxiety and make my vision worse. I guessing the same would go for different drugs like opiod painkillers. My fear right now is what if become seriously ill with something and I need a treatment that will affect PAWS in some way. For example if I need surgery, can I handle anesthesia? Or will it be bad for PAWS and make me start over? I'm scared about these things, I feel as though I'm one illness away from destroying the progress I've made, or that something bad will happen and make everything way worse because I need some sort of treatment that that affects my fragile nervous system. Just some thoughts. Feedback appreciated!

Cthompson, remember your PAWS is not just weed PAWS, I am sure it's Adderall PAWS as well. You can handle everything someone else can. it will obviously be tough because you are more sensitive but you will not start from day zero again. But you see that's not your worst problem, you problem is you're living in the "what if"... Even if you are to start from day zero tomorrow then make the most of today, enjoy as much as you can now. Just take care of your health and illnesses will be at bay, you're still young so surgeries are unlikely unless you are not careful.

I feel like you are describing me, I’m 15 and half months in a a have the same issue. I took Addrall to took adderall for 2 years and cut it down when I was smoking. I think week kinda delay the Adderall PAW and now it is hitting me all tighter. Other day I was crazy busy and drunk 3 cups of coffee to survive work and PAW and bad thoughts hit me hard. I might need a surgery soon and thought of what if going under anesthesia can set my PAW back bothers me a lot. I wish I can talk to someone, my doctors still thinks weed withdrawals doesn’t last more then 14 days.

Ash, thanks for your feedback.

Headinloud,

Doctors dont realize its significant changes to neurochemistry, not just withdrawal, that are causing the problems. PAWS isn't on the books, and nobody seems to take it seriously. I used to be able to go under just fine when I had my wisdom teeth removed and take antidepressants and drink coffee and have no long term lasting issues. Now everything throws me out of whack. Even having an orgasm I think messes with my brain. It sucks!

If you have the surgery let me know how it goes. Everyone is different and if you tell them your history maybe they can accommodate. All the best.

Guys just forget your fears.
I did a surgery when i was in my 5th month of paws and nothing happened and i recovered from the surgery very normally. So just let go of the idea.
Everything will be fine.

Brudenski that's great. Thanks for sharing. How are your paws now and how far along are you?
