Re: Merry Christmas

@desperate thank you @PAWSsurvivor I understand how you feel, this hard living like this but we are survivors. The holidays bring extra stress and seem to make PAWS symptoms worse for me every year. But I think of all the obstacles in the last year I've overcome and think wow, I did that, and I can ...

Re: SUCCESS STORIES for our BOOK on PAWS

@PaWSBOOK ask as many questions as you need. I *mostly* recovered from Strattera. I was probably 80% to 90% healed, I still had some anxiety and insomnia but overall life was good and I miss feeling that way. I could drink alcohol and have caffeine, cant do that now. The weed I smoked was very poten...

Re: SUCCESS STORIES for our BOOK on PAWS

I'm unique- two times PAWS survivor, you will know this if you read my posts. The first time it was triggered by abusing a drug called strattera, which left me screwed for 2 years. At 2.5 years, I was better, and had overcome what had been the HARDEST battle of my life. I found this site during that...

Re: 3.5 years Marijuana PAWS Update

Wow! First year of PAWS was the same for me. I felt like I was reading about myself. I remember reaching one year and saying, wow... I did that. Congrats on moving forward and 3.5 years!

Re: 2 years on...

@Head In Loud I'm right there with you, symptoms are still present every day but better than before. And one puff messed me up, if you look at my posts from 2018. I think it is different for everyone. @lefttheleaf sleep is bad for me, I get the same anxiety before during and after. Did mediation hel...

Re: 2 years on...

Thank you, just wanted to say I've been doing meditation for a few days and it is helping again. Averaging 15 minutes per day, plan on keeping it going, and up the time spent meditating. I still struggle with the anxiety and depression too, I had a bad wave of depression the other day but it only la...

Re: 2 years on...

Yes you are right. That should be enough incentive. PAWS is like PTSD and the anxiety flares up in triggering situations. I seem to have a revolving door of symptoms, right now its GI issues. I will be meditating the next few weeks and hopefully it changes. Also read that it shrinks your amygdala ( ...

I start meditation and then after a couple weeks I stop lol. I need incentive to keep going because when I do it I feel SO much better. Congr...

A conclusion of my PAWS journey

I'm writing this because it is almost two years since I had a bad trip and developed weed PAWS, and now my life is changing, I am moving to a new city, new job, moving on, something I thought wouldn't have been possible if you asked me about 2 years ago. I thought my world was ending because I had a...

Re: 3 years and 8 months off of cannabis and sudden cravings

Yes it is chaotic but think...what if a year or two from now. Will you say you are 5 years plus sober or will you have had to start over? I think the stressful situations bring out cravings. It is logically now worth it. But ask yourself, is it what you really want? To be numb to reality or to face ...
