I sometimes think about others truly oppressed. Whether historical or living today it only takes a moment for me to consider those in cold, dreary camps waiting to die or be "reeducated". No internet, possibly no electricity, little comfort and no control over their future. Day after day they wait to see if another day might come. How do they find the good, how do they manage?
Then I think back to my own situation as I sip my hot coffee with a bit of delicious sweet cream. My fingers clack away at a keyboard as I communicate with people all around the world, including you. Yesterday it was a person from India and today a few from Canada. I sit on a couch in comfort, plenty of food, and no real worries. I have a bed, hot shower, and access to the digital world. Life is good.
