Venues

Does anyone feel that speaking at a 3 plus star venue may garnish more conference registrations? Normally, I speak at 2 star hotels primarily because they are the ones most likely to work within my budget. But I am wondering if I would increase registrations by increasing my budget for a more exclusive venue.

Depends on the product. If your speaking about a 2-star topic/audience, e.g. how to avoid bankruptcy then stick with 2-star. If on the other hand your tring to sell $5000 registrations to learn how to be a millionaire, then you should be speaking in 5-star venues. It is all dependent on your topic/audience and the margins.

If you are on a budget, perhaps looking for hotels or seminar rooms that is clean, in good condition, good PA system and services is what you need to consider.

Generally, venue is not a significant factor to get more signs up or registrations. It's more about the marketing approach and strategies that you do.

Hope this helps. ;)
