Terminology confusion

Postby The_Masked_Hypnotist » Sat Oct 19, 2019 2:16 am

Chatting to a friend of mine who does hypnosis for fun, taught by someone they know who learnt via books/ google.

They use a lot of different terms to the ones I know. 'Drop' for Induction (where someone flops down) and 'Blank' for a standard induction. Is this her group making up terms and being unsafe with it or just different terms I haven't heard before?

What makes using alternate terms “unsafe”? People will die!?! Heart attacks will take place? Mass hysteria? The confusion will result in psychosis?
